Description

Process for the production of a therapeutically effective preparation.
On the basis of the knowledge that all infectious diseases result in an enlargement of the lymph glands and tracts, it was found that with a product made from Radix petasitis officinalis, a contraction of the same and thus a healing of various disease processes, as in clinical trials, resulted, in tuberculosis, carcinoma, tumors and ulcers, various types of asthma, and a shift in the proteins in the blood plasma.
The subject of the present patent is a process for the production of this product containing pectin, tanning, bitter, protein, essential oils, plant mucilage and resins, which is characterized in that radix petasitis officinalis is extracted and the extract is treated with oxygen and ultraviolet light .
Example:
1 kg Radix petasitis officinalis is extracted with 1 liter of 15 to 99 percent alcohol at 30 to 75 "C under a vacuum of 9 mm pressure for 1 1/2 hours. The extract is treated with ultraviolet rays for 1-24 hours with the addition of oxygen. The extract exhibits After the treatment with oxygen and ultraviolet rays, it is a light yellow color and is not yet an effective preparation. After the treatment mentioned above, the preparation shows a dark brown color and a red precipitate in the filter.
The product obtained by the treatment with oxygen and ultraviolet light can be used directly as a medicament or first concentrated or processed into a dry product in order to then also be used as medicament. Instead of the extraction described above, an old extraction by means of syrup simplex to triplex, a decoction, percolation or a glycerine extract can be used.
PATENT CLAIM:
Process for the production of a therapeutically effective preparation which contains pectin, tanning, bitter, protein substances, essential oils, plant mucilage and resins, characterized in that radix petasitis officinalis is extracted and the extract is treated with oxygen and ultraviolet light.
