Description
Collapsible probing rod for searching for people buried in avalanches. The subject matter of the invention is a probe range for searching for buried people in avalanches, characterized by a plurality of tubular rods and a flexible connecting means which passes through these rods and which is attached to the bottom rod at one end and to a sleeve displaceable on the top rod at the other end carries a tensioning device whose organ, which is used to tension the connecting means, lies against the uppermost rod in the operative position, in such a way that all rods are firmly pressed against each other,
one rod engaging in the bore of the adjacent rod by means of a guide sleeve attached to one end.
In the accompanying drawing, FIG. 1 shows a view of a collapsible, five-part probe rod with a wire cable running through it. 2 shows the uppermost part of the rod with the sleeve pushed over the uppermost rod, the clamping device in the operative position. In Fig. 3 the joint is shown two bars. A ready-to-use probing rod is shown in FIG.
The probing rod, which can be put together in a cloth or leather bag in the rucksack, is put together as follows: The tubes 1-5 are pushed into each other so that the sleeves 6-9 establish the connection between the tubes. By pushing the sleeve 10 up on the upper tube 5, the wire rope 12 attached to the upper end 1011 and running through all tubes, attached to the lower end of the tube 1 at 11, is tightened and the tubes 1-5 are pressed tightly together so that the whole forms a solid probing rod lö (Fig. 4).
Instead of the wire rope one could of course also use a simple wire or a flexible band, for example. The cross section of the tubular rods 1-5 is of course not limited to the round shape.
