Abstract

A wheel assembly (730) to be coupled to a hub of a vehicle, may include an inner rim (731) to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle, an outer rim (733) surrounding the inner rim (731), and gas springs (750) operatively coupled between the inner rim (731) and the outer rim (733) to provide a gas suspension permitting relative movement between the inner rim (731) and the outer rim (733). The wheel assembly (730) includes a sidewall cover assembly (701a, 701b) that includes an inner sidewall cover (793) coupled to the inner rim (731) and extending radially outward toward the outer rim (733). The sidewall cover assembly also includes an outer sidewall cover (794) coupled to the outer rim (733) and extending radially inward toward the inner rim (731) and in sliding overlapping relation with the inner sidewall cover (793) permitting relative movement between the inner sidewall cover (793) and the outer sidewall cover (794).
