Abstract

Current sewing machines use two threads to sew a lockstitch. One thread is supplied from a main thread and the other thread is supplied from a bobbin thread. In this invention, the use of the bobbin is eliminated and the second thread is supplied from a second main thread. The removal of the bobbin will allow the sewing machine to be used continuously without the time delay of having to rewind thread on the bobbin or switch bobbins.

Description

Description The Bobbinless Lockstitch Sewing Machine operates with similar principles as the lockstitch sewing machine that uses a bobbin. The invention replaces the bobbin with a second needle. The lockstitch sewing is achieved by having each needle thread through a loop of the other thread then through the fabric. This process is elaborated in more detail in the specifications. The end result is a lockstitch sewing machine that does not use a bobbin and thus can continuously sew for a longer period of time.

A sewing machine that uses two spools that feed directly into two needles to sew a lockstitch.
