Abstract

An agricultural vehicle provided with a picking-up/cutting device for pickin g up an agricultural product and cutting it. The picking-up/cutting device is only provided with a picking-up unit for picking up the agricultural product, and a cuttin g unit for cutting the picked up agricultural product. The cutting unit comprises conveying means for conveying the agricultural product through a conveyor channel, and knives movable between a cutting position in which they extend in the convey or channel in such a way that the agricultural product is cut into pieces, and a deflecting position in which they extend substantially outside the conveyor channnel. The knives are pushed into the cutting position by a spring. The conveyor channnel has an outlet aperture for letting out the cut agricultural product . The agricultural vehicle further comprises a discharge channel for discharging c ut agricultural product from the agricultural vehicle, in which discharge chann el a rotating accelerating device is disposed for conveying the cut agricultural product, by means of contact with said cut agricultural product, through the discharg e channel.
