Abstract

The invention relates to a method for continuous production of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers with improved homogeneity and fusing properties, whereby one or several polyisocyanates (A) and a mixture with a Zerewitinoff active hydrogen atom (B) consisting of B1) an equivalent 1-85 % (in relation to isocyanate groups in (A)) of one or several compounds with an average of at least 1.8 Zerewitinoff active hydrogen atoms and an average molecular weight ~n of 450-1000; B2) an equivalent 15-99 % (in relation to the isocyanate groups in A)) of one or several chain extenders with an average of at least 1.8 Zerewitinoff hydrogen atoms and a molecular weight of 60-400, in addition to 0-20 wt. % (in relation to the total amount of TPU) of other auxiliary agents and additives (C) are mixed in a homogeneous manner in a reactor over a maximum period of 5 seconds, whereby there is a temperature difference of < 20° C between constituents (A) and (B) before they are brought together in the reactor.
