Abstract

OUR FAMILY OWNS AN MINIVAN AND EVERY TIME AFTER AN SHOPPING TRIP GROCERIES OR
ANY OTHER KIND OF SHOPPING WERE PLASTIC SHOPPING BAGS WERE INVOLVED, WE ENDED
UP WITH AN MESS IN THE VAN. WHAT HAPPENED, THE SHOPPING WAS PUT IN THE BACK OF
THE VAN ON THE FLOOR. EVERY TIME WHEN YOU TAKE AN TURN OR PUT ON THE BRAKES, THE SHOPPING BAGS WERE MOVING AROUND. BY THE TIME WE GOT HOME MOST OF THE
SHOPPING CAME OUT OF THE BAGS AND WAS ALL OVER THE FLOOR IN THE BACK OF THE
VAN. FOR THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM I WAS LOOKING FOR AN SOLUTION. I BELIEVE I
SOLVED THE PROBLEM WITH MINE " MINIVAN SHOPPING BAG ORGANIZER ". I AM SURE WE
WERE NOT THE ONLY VAN OWNERS WITH THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE THIS DEVICE IN USE FOR
SOME TIME NOW AND WITH MUCH SUCCES.

Description

MINIVAN SHOPPING BAG ORGANIZER
IN ORDER TO CARRY SHOPPING BAGS NEATLY IN THE BACK OF AN MINIVAN I DESIGNED
AN BAR TO CARRY THESE BAGS.
USED IS AN EXISTING BATHROOM SHOWER CURTAIN ROD WHICH IS EXTENDEBLE FROM
~ 52" TO 62".
THIS WILL FIT MOST MINIVANS ON THE ROAD TODAY.
THIS ROD IS KEPT TIDE IN PLACE BY EXTENDING SO THAT IT WILL FIT BETWEEN
THE TWO SIDES OF THE VAN.
ADDED TO THIS ROD ARE ~ FIVE (5) OR SIX (6) PLASTIC OR METAL RINGS WITH
HOOKS ATTACHED TO THEM.
THESE RINGS SLIDE OVER THE EXISTING ROD TO CARRY THE SHOPPING BAGS.
THE PLASTIC PROTECTION ENDS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE EXISTING ROD ARE REPLACED
BY AN LARGER SIZE CUP SHAPED ENDS ~ 3" / 4" DIAMETER.
THESE LARGER SIZE ENDS WILL PREVENT DAMAGING THE SIDES OF THE VAN.
THE IDEA OF THE " SHOPPING BAG ORGANIZER " IS NOT TO PIJT THE FULL WEIGHT
OF THE SHOPPING BAGS ON THE BAR.
BUT HAVE THE HEIGHT OF THE BAR SO ADJUSTED THAT THE SHOPPING BAGS JUST
TOUCH THE FLOOR, SO THAT MOST OF THE WEIGHT IS ON THE VAN FLOOR.
THAT WAY THE SHOPPING RAGS WON'T MOVE AND ARE KEPT NEATLY IN PLACE TO AVOID
AN MESSY SHOPPING BAG SITUATION.
I HAVE NOT DISCOVERED ANYTHING LIKE THIS DEVICE ANYWHERE.
FOR THAT REASON I WOULD TO CLAIM THIS INVENTION AS MINE OWN.
