Description
~2~5~L7~
The present invention has for its object a device for the perforation of a package of flexible synthetic material, of the type comprising a closure and pouring assembly constituted by a cylindrical body and by a stopper co-operating with the said body and equipped with means for cutting out and perforating the wall of the package by screwing or pressure in order to permit the pouring of a liquid contained in the said package.
Devices of this type are known per se.
For example they have formed the object of U.S.
Pa~ent No. 4,440,316 in the name of the ~pplicants.
These devices of the prior art give complete satisfaction, but are still capable of improvement as regards the quality of the partial or total cutting of the l~ patch or zone of film to be removed in order to obtain a pouring orifice.
The invention has the object of remedying these drawbacks.
In accordance with the invention, this result is

These devices of the prior art give complete satisfaction, but are still capable of improvement as regards the quality of the partial or total cutting of the l~ patch or zone of film to be removed in order to obtain a pouring orifice.
The invention has the object of remedying these drawbacks.
In accordance with the invention, this result is
2~ obtained with a device for the perforation of a package of flexible synthetic material, of the type comprising a closure and pouring assembly constituted by a cylindrical body and by a stoppex co-operating with the said body and e~uipped with means for the cutting and perforation of the wall of the package by screwing or pressure to permit the pouring of a liquid contained in the said package, characterised in that it consists of a reinforcement of material protruding towards the interior in relation to the base piece of the body, at the level of the zone to be cut away, the said reinforcement being integral in material with the said base piece.
By virtue of this structure all the drawbacks of the devices of the prior art are avoided, in particular the risk that the zone to be perforated may be deformed by 1265~7~
elastic effect instead of being effectively cut out.
In fact, the zone which is generally deformed by elasticity or major elongation is subjected at a different angle to the action of the device according to the invention, the force applied by the cutting means being distributed and being supported not by a line of shear stress but by a surface offering greater resistance, of course within the limits compatible with a manual effort within the capability of any user.
1~ The material reinforcement can be obtained in several ways.
Thus for example i-t can be integrally manufactured with the body of the closure assembly.
This structure however necessitates a very 1~ specific counter-presser for the fixing of the body on the tubular sheath forming the package, which poses problems as the body is in general presented together with its stopper.
Thus the internal zone is not accessible.
According to a preferred variant of execution, the reinforcement will be realised by flow of material in line with the base piece on the occasion of the fixing of the body on the sheath, the said base piece comprising from its manufacture, before its fixing, an annular bead substantially in the vertical prolongation of the body, which flows at least partially towards the interior of the body and perpendicularly thereto, in the welding of the closure assembly upon the film sheath in the course of shaping.
The invention will be better understood with the

The invention will be better understood with the
3~ aid of the following description, with reference to the accompanying diagrammatic drawings, wherein:
Figures la and lb illustrate a first variant of execution of the invention;
Figures 2a to 2e illustrate a second preferred ~2~iiS47~
variant of execution of the invention;
Figures 3a and 3b are a variant of execution of the device according to Figures 2a to 2e.
Reference will be made firstly to Figures la and lb.
The closure assembly comprises essentially a cylindrical body 1 terminating at its lower part in a circular base piece 2.
This assembly is intended to be applied by welding to a sheath 3 of film at the time of its shaping, on an e~pander, into individual sachets intended for the packaging of alimentary or medical liquids.
On this base piece there is represented an internal reinforcement 4 formed with the body in manufacture and disposed in the plane of the base piece.
In Figure lb there is illustrated the welding of this assembly on the film by means of a counter-presser 5 of specific form co-operating with a heating element (thermal or impulse welding) or a vibrating element (ultrasonic welding) referenced 6.
The system is retained in this form when one utilises perforators of high cost, that i8 intended for unit supply for a plurality of sachets, for example sold in strings or other multiple make-up.
~5 According to a preferred form of embodiment of the invention, represented in Figures 2a to 2e, it will be provided, all other things being equal, that the reinforcement 4 in Figure 1 will be replaced by an annular bead 7 formed in the same material with the body of the closure assembly.
For the welding, as represented in Figure 2b, in conventional manner a counter-presser 8 external to the body and the welding assembly 6 are used. Thus a ~low of the bead 7 is realised transforming the bead into a reinforcement 9 forming an internal collar, as represented in Figure 2c.
The structure of the reinforcemen-t 9 is represented more faithfully in Figure 2d.
It is understood, as represented in Figure 2e, that the cutting means 10 fast with the closure assembly will have better application to cut the reinforcement 9 in line with the body than in the absence of such application.
~he cut will be clean without tearing or laceration.
1~ According to a variant of execution, the welding to~l 6' will have a particular profile, so that the reinforcement is present only over a part of the periphery of the zone to be cut. Thus the structure according to Figure 3b is obtained in which a zone 11 preserves the 1~ structure without reinforcement, according to the prior art.
In this manner the cut-out patch of film remains fast with the sheath, and cannot fall into the sachet.
