Abstract

PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE UMA ANTRAQUINONA, PROCESSO PARA METILAR UMA ANTRAQUINONA HIDRóXI-SUBSTITUìDA PARA PRODUZIR UMA ANTRAQUINONA DIMETóXI-SUBSTITUìDA, MéTODO PARA INIBIR UM PARASITA FILARIAL, ANTRAQUINONA, E USO DA ANTRAQUINONA é descrito um processo para a preparação de antraquinonas hidroxil-substituídas. O processo acopla um anidrido ftálico (substituido ou não substituído) à fração anel benzeno substituída com pelo menos dois grupos hidroxila. Os grupos hidroxila remanescentes foram convertidos a grupos metoxila em algumas antraquinonas. Os compostos são particularmente úteis para o tratamento de doenças parasitárias. Também é apresentado um método para o tratamento ou a prevenção da malária, filariase do esquistossomose e outras doenças parasitárias usando antraquinonas.PROCEDURE FOR PREPARING AN ANCHRONONE, PROCESS TO METHYL A HYDROXY-SUBSTITUTED ANTRAKINONE TO PRODUCE A DIMETOXY-ANCHARKIN, METHOD FOR INHIBITING AN ANCHYCHRONIZED ANTIQUINON PROCESS The process couples a (substituted or unsubstituted) phthalic anhydride to the benzene ring moiety substituted with at least two hydroxyl groups. The remaining hydroxyl groups were converted to methoxyl groups in some anthraquinones. The compounds are particularly useful for the treatment of parasitic diseases. Also disclosed is a method for treating or preventing malaria, schistosomiasis filariasis and other parasitic diseases using anthraquinones.
