A presente invenção refere-se a artifícios de iluminação e a outros dispositivos propelentes sólidos, foguetes ou similares, equipados com um agente de ignição ou com um sistema de ignição que é baseado em todo em parte sobre um bastão extrusado de ignição. O bastão extrusado de ignição é formado de constituintes que compreendem um aglutinante solúvel em água ou inflável em água, pelo menos um agente oxidante, pelo menos um combustível e, opcionalmente, fibras.
