Abstract

"MéTODO PARA A REMOçãO DE CONTAMINANTES A PARTIR DE TêXTEIS". Trata-se de um método de inclui as etapas de (1) tratar o têxtil com uma quantidade pré-determinada de um material repelente sacrificial não-durável antes de colocar o têxtil em serviço; (2) limpar o têxtil com uma mistura de um solvente não-polar e pelo menos um aditivo de limpeza para remover os contaminantes resistentes e insolúveis do solvente não-polar solúvel a partir do têxtil; (3) lavar o têxtil com uma mistura de um solvente polar e pelo menos um aditivo de lavagem para remover os contaminantes solúveis do solvente polar a partir do têxtil; e (4) manter uma quantidade pré-determinada de um material repelente sacrificial não-durável no têxtil. O solvente não-polar pode ser percloroetileno ou similar, enquanto o aditivo de limpeza é uma mistura de cetona dialquílica, um éster carboxílico e um éter de glicol. Um segundo aditivo de limpeza pode ser utilizado para intensificar a remoção de contaminantes. O solvente polar é água, enquanto o aditivo de lavagem é uma homogeneização de tensoativos. O material repelente utilizado é um material polimérico de fluorocarbono ou um material polimérico de hidrocarbono, que é aplicado, conforme necessário, para manter uma quantidade pré-determinada do material repelente sacrificial não-durável no têxtil na faixa de cerca de 0,5 até cerca de 3,0% de sólidos no pano em peso. As etapas de secagem são preferidas após a etapa de limpeza do solvente não-polar de maneira as remover qualquer solvente não polar residual e depois da etapa de manutenção de maneira a curar o material repelente sacrificial não-durável no mesmo.
