Abstract

COMPOSIÇÃO PARA A SAÚDE DO INTESTINO. A presente invenção refere-se a, entre outros, composições de microrganismos produtores de ácidos graxos de cadeia curta (SCFA) e métodos de produção e uso das mesmas para inibir populações bacterianas patogênicas nos tratos gastrointestinais de um animal e, adicionalmente, promover a melhoria de uma ou mais métricas em um animal, como o aumento do ganho de peso corporal, a diminuição da razão de conversão alimentar (FCR), melhoria da integridade da barreira intestinal, redução da mortalidade, redução de infecção por patógenos e redução da eliminação de patógenos nas fezes.
