Abstract
"FILTRAçãO ELETROSTáSTICA E TRANSFORMAçãO DE PARTìCULAS EM MEIOS GASOSOS". A invenção refere-se a um dispositivo que compreende ao menos uma pluralidade de filtros eletrostáticos de ionização de efeito coroa incluindo eletrodos emissores e coletores. O número de filtros eletrostáticos é definido em função de um fluxo a ser tratado, considerando que quanto mais lenta a passagem, mais eficiente é a coleta e menos os eletrodos convertidos em resistências são resfriados pelo fluxo. Os eletrodos coletores, que são lisos e tubulares, são alternativamente coletores e resistência elétrical, e, portanto, são aquecidos por períodos curtos, a uma temperatura suficiente para incinerar ou queimar as partículas coletadas. Os eletrodos emissores são centralizados nas estruturas coletoras. Os mencionados eletrodos são axiais em relação à direção da passagem do fluxo a ser tratado nos eletrodos coletores e podem ser complementares a outros eletrodos na forma de raios perpendiculares à direção do fluxo de ar, gases e vapores a ser tratado. Outros dispositivos podem ser associados a eles, tais como catalisadores de oxidação, pré-filtros, filtros de finalização ou outros dispositivos permitindo a redução dos poluentes gasosos, sólidos e líquidos e atenuação do ruído. O dispositivo inventivo destina-se, porém não exclusivamente, à filtração e regeneração dos gases de escapamento dos motores, dos vapores de óleo e de água, fumos, de ar de admissão, de exaustão ou reciclagem, e em geral a todos os poluentes prejudiciais ao meio ambiente.
