Treatments For Attaching Organic Compounds To Fibrous Goods
(AREA)
Abstract
This agent is used in the textile industry. It enhances materials' (wool and natural silk) resistance to light, which, in effect, considerably delays the speed of photo-yellowing and reduces strength loss, which extends the life of the goods. The working chambers and the conditions for exploitation do not use formaldehyde. The agent consists of thiocarbamide (between 10 and 60 g/l) and electro-chemically activated water (between 10 and 80 g/l), with various pH values, between 3 and 10. The treatment of the textile material is carried out following the method impregnation-drying at a level of intake between 80 and 100%. Then follows drying at room temperature or at a temperature between 100 and 105 degrees C for 5 to 15 minutes. No laundry is necessary after the treatment.
