Abstract

The device for installing a wooden or plastics frame into an opening in a wall comprises two tabs which are pivotally interconnected about an axis. The free end of one tab contains a hole which is used to secure the device to the surrounding wall whilst the free end of the other tab is pivotally attached to the frame using the existing frame mounting point. - The tab which secures to the wall is pref. L-shaped in cross-section. The arrangement allows frames for doors, windows etc. to be easily installed into apertures which need not have regular dimensions.(0/4)

Description

 <EMI ID=2.1>

(figure 2).

  Fixing piece for chassis.

The present invention relates to the fixing of aluminum, plastic or wooden frames and has for its object a part intended to allow the easy mounting of all frames in openings, which are not always regular.

A fixing piece according to the invention makes it possible to place a chassis exactly in position, even if the abutment bottom is not exactly parallel to the corresponding amount of the chassis or even if the dimensions of the opening are slightly larger than those of the chassis.

According to the invention, the fixing part is characterized in that it consists of a set of two brackets forming a square assembled in a pivoting manner, the opposite end of one of the brackets being provided with a hole for anchoring on the abutment bottom of the enclosure to be closed and the opposite end of the other tab being intended to be pivotally mounted on the fixing means forming part of the chassis, such as a slide.

To better understand the invention, it is now described on the basis of the appended drawing, by way of example only, showing in:
Figure 1 an elevational view of a frame portion with a fastener according to the invention in an extreme position; <EMI ID = 1.1>

with the fixing part in the other extreme position; Figures 3 and 4 a section respectively by 3-3 of Figure 1 and by 4-4 of Figure 2.

The fixing piece according to the invention consists of two legs 1,2 assembled so as to form a square and joined together pivotally by an axis 3. In the embodiment shown in the drawing the

 <EMI ID = 2.1>

apply to tab 2 at the pivot point.

The tab 2 has a hole 4 at its free end, a hole which is intended for the passage of a pivot axis 5 connecting the said tab to the fixing means 6 forming part of the chassis to be laid 7, the fixing means being constituted here by a running slide. While the axis 3 will advantageously consist of a rivet, the axis 5 will be a screw spindle or the like for rapid mounting on the slide 6. On its side, the free end of the tab 1 has a hole for anchoring 8 on the stop bottom 9.

The chassis is shown in the drawing with the fixing piece according to the invention in its two extreme positions, the chassis being arranged on the one hand as close as possible (FIG. 1) to the abutment bottom 9 of the enclosure to be closed and on the other hand as far as possible
(figure 2). We can still see in Figure 2 in broken lines an intermediate position with the leg 1 slightly inclined.

It is easily understood that, this fastening piece being able to take between its two extreme positions all the possible positions, the fitting of a chassis becomes very simple whatever the inclination or the distance of the abutment bottom relative to the chassis.
