Abstract
The electric resistance heating belt for the fuel filter of diesel fueled internal combustion engines is formed as a coil wound round the outside of the filter bowl. Alternatively, the coil round the filter bowl may be formed from hollow tube, and water from a heat exchanger circulated through it. The heat exchanger may be fixed to the engine block, to the engine radiator, to part of the cooling fluid piping, or to the exhaust pipes. The same techniques may be used for a heating belt wrapped round the fuel tank. The housing may incorporate filtering elements, obviating the need for the diesel-oil filter.
Description
DESCRIPTION
<EMI ID=1.1>
2. Description :
FORME A.
DESCRIPTION
Heating belt for the diesel filter for diesel engines and complete diesel filter fitted with this heating element.
1. Preamble :
The fuel economy achieved by the diesel engine compared to the gasoline engine (internal combustion engine) and the relative longevity of the diesel, push the users of vehicles to adopt more and more the vehicles with diesel engine. Many stationary machines: compressors, cranes, current generators and others are also equipped with diesel engines. In many countries, such as Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Italy, the cost of diesel is currently significantly lower than that of petrol, which further increases the economy of the cost of fuel consumption. /combustible.
<EMI ID = 1.1>
fines contained in the diesel are frozen in the supply pipes of the diesel-engine and thus seal these pipes, which puts the engine down.
A heating element for this diesel at the filter can reduce this freezing of the paraffins from the diesel in the pipes. It has also been found that the diesel thus preheated before carburetion reduces the rate of consumption of the engine.
diesel from 10 to 20%, depending on the temperatures obtained.
This is explained by the fact that the preheated gas oil expands therefore occupies a higher volume at the outlet of the filter, it flows more easily, is more fluid, vaporizes more easily and is more completely combed, thus increasing its potential. energetic
2. Description:
The heating belt composed of turns supplied with electric current from the vehicle battery or from another source when it comes to stationary motors, surrounds the
metal body of the diesel filter (commonly called the filter
oil)
FORM A.
In a very simple embodiment, the heating belt, composed of a number of turns of insulated or uninsulated metal wire, with a core
of copper, aluminum or other electrically conductive metal, is placed around the body of the diesel filter, originally fitted in almost all vehicles with diesel engines.
This belt is supplied with electric current from either the battery, the alternator or the vehicle dynamo, or for stationary diesel engines, from a
external source of electric current.
Note that most diesel filters for vehicles and machines with diesel engines have a fairly large metal body, which
which is conducive to the exchange of temperature at this level of the supply of diesel to the engine.
FORM B.
Design of a diesel filter incorporating this heating belt.
FORM C.
In another embodiment, the diesel fuel can heat up in a metal box fixed, either on the engine block, or at the top
from the car's radiator, or still on the exhaust manifold.
This box and its fixing system already exist, but only to heat the water in the windscreen washer.
The present invention consists in passing the engine diesel. The advantage of this form C lies in the use of the heat given off by the motor, instead of the electric heating belt.
FORM D.
In a more elaborate embodiment of the temperature exchanger described above, in this box could be incorporated filter elements, which would make the diesel filter superfluous
unheated, or electrically heated.
This filter-heater box for diesel engine is fixed either on
the engine block to absorb the heat, either on the vehicle radiator or on the exhaust manifold - thus recovering part of the heat from the combustion gases for preheating diesel fuel.
FORM E.
Heating belt surrounding the diesel tank of the car or stationary vehicle. This large format belt starts from the same operating principle as that expressed under the
Form A, but attaches around the fuel tank
FORM F.
Diesel tanks for stationary vehicles equipped with heating belts for preheating engine diesel.
