Description

  Kayak individuel

  Individual kayak

The invention relates to an unsinkable boat kayak type. The first boats of this kind were made of wood, then canvas and wood, then polyester (curable polyester composition, impregnating a fibrous structure) and finally polyethylene (including rotary molding).

The properties of each kayak are preferably specific to the body of water on which it evolves (river of category 1, 2, and 3, river, sea, lake). In the south, with rivers with warmer water, the kayak will be more open while in the north, the kayak will be more closed to prevent water from entering, etc., ...

For example, in Belgium, for example, the Lesse, we observe that:

1. The water of the river is relatively cold

2. There are two dams and a risk of boarding water (elevation +/- 1 meter) 3. Customers are inexperienced but sensitive to design and comfort 4. the weight and size of the kayaker are very variable This implies specific requirements, such as 1. having a kayak closed enough 2. having a kayak with good buoyancy at the front so as not to sink when crossing the dams and have a flat back heel so as not to tip over

3. have a solid kayak with beautiful lines and reassuring

4. Have a versatile kayak with a space to sit relatively wide and comfortable. A particular problem in this context lies in the fact that due to the very variable sizes and weights of kayak users, especially from hirers, there was no suitable model for this use. In the existing individual kayaks the opening ("coiling") where the user takes place is always less than 85 cm long.

The term "coaming" refers to the vertical edge of a panel to prevent water from entering a boat, but by extension, in the middle of kayaks, the term is often used to refer to opening even where takes the user of a kayak.

It is in this latter sense that the term "coaming" is used in the context of the present invention.

Such coamings less than 85 cm are too short to accommodate any type of user.

A coaming that is too small represents a danger in the event of a capsize because the person might get stuck in the kayak, while a coaming open on the entire kayak is much too big and is a drawback by allowing too much water to enter the kayak. passage of dams.

The present invention aims to provide a solution to the problems described.

For this purpose, the invention defines an individual unsinkable boat of the kayak type, consisting of a one-piece shell made of polyethylene, comprising an upper part closed at the front and at the rear, and a hatch (a "coaming"). located between the said closed parts front and rear, while the coaming has a dimension greater than 100 cm and less than 150 cm

According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the coaming more particularly has a dimension of about 120 cm. A coaming of this size also allows for a person of average size to be accompanied by a child sitting between his legs. It can sit on a seat that is a side room and comes to nest at the headquarters.

It should be noted, in this context, that the term "individual boat" ("single-seater" kayak) as used in the context of this invention obviously means in the sense of an active user (preferably medium size), possibly accompanied by a passive passenger (preferably smaller, such as a child).

According to a preferred variant of the invention, the polyethylene shell is more particularly designed to be made by rotary molding, in particular by molding HD type polyethylene.

According to another feature of the invention, the boat may optionally comprise at least one sealed buoyancy compartment inside the hull, for example following the fact that at least a portion of the interior space of the hull is closed off by means of a wall of synthetic material, fixed to the shell with glue, so as to constitute a sealed compartment.

This wall of synthetic material may, preferably, be arranged substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of said shell, supported by means of a suitably shaped piece of said synthetic material resting on the shell .

According to another preferred feature of the invention, the closed front and rear portions of this individual boat more particularly have a dimension of at least 1 m, preferably between 1 m and 1 m 40. The total size of the new individual boat according to the invention, characterized by a coaming between 100 cm and 150 cm, is preferably between 3 m 50 and 4 m 50.

According to a preferred variant of the invention, the individual boat comprises an additional opening ("hatch") in the closed front or rear part, preferably in the rear closed part, of smaller size, making it possible to house a any receptacle or appropriate (such as a "seal" or "canister" of corresponding size), can thus serve as a "chest" sealed for storing personal effects.

According to a further preferred variant of the invention, the individual boat comprises a seat (removable or not) with folding backrest, which allows easier stacking of boats for their transport (road) upstream.

The new individual boat according to the invention is illustrated by means of the appended figures showing, by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of the invention, in which FIG. 1 is a general, lateral view of a individual boat

(1) according to the example; Figure 2 is an overall view, from above, of the boat (1) according to Figure 1; and Figures 3 and 4 show in detail the particular coaming (2)

(According to the invention) of this boat (1) according to the example

(respectively in the use position and in the transport position).

The single-person kayak / kayak - 1 - figures includes a coam - 2 -, a dimension (in the example illustrated 120 cm) significantly higher than what existed to date for single-seater kayaks, parts closed before - 3 - and rear - 4 -, of a length of approximately 150 cm each, an additional opening (hatch) - 5 - in the closed rear part - 4 -, and a seat - 6 - with folding backrest - 7 - , shown in the position of use in FIG. 3 and in the "transport" position in FIG.
