Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Open barrel for litter disposal The barrel (Figure 1) is one of the components of a public bin, for example. Placed inside a passenger compartment (figure 2) which protects it from rain, shocks, vandalism, it is intended to collect litter. Its internal face is lined with a plastic or paper sheath intended to protect the barrel from dirt. PRIOR STATE OF THE ART The barrel is lined internally with a flexible bag-shaped cover, but the placement of this cover complicates handling and a new cover is necessary for each emptying.
. Description of the Invention The object of the invention is to reduce the price of the cover 2 to facilitate the fitting of the cover inside the barrel 30 to allow the reuse of the cover The barrel is split along a of its generators and on part of its bottom to facilitate the placement of a sheath which can be manufactured continuously and supplied for example in a roll, which constitutes an economy compared to bags.
A support for the barrel, scalloped like the bottom of the latter and a support for the sheath roller can be fixed for example to the rear of a refuse bin (Figure 3).
The sheath will be unwound and inserted inside the barrel through the notch in the bottom and the slot in the vertical wall, with a simple pull from the bottom up (Figure 4).
The upper edge of the sheath will be folded over the upper edge of the barrel (Figure 5).
The sheath will be tied below the barrel, manually or mechanically, (Figure 6) and then cut under the ligature (Figure 7) to form a cover. During emptying, the attendant can hold the cover by the ligature (Figure 8) and only discard the contents. The cover can thus be reused several times.
'Embodiment The barrel can be produced by welding a thin sheet bent or folded for the lateral part to a flat sheet cut out for the bottom.
