Description

Cleaning device with cleaning strips
Description
Technical field
The invention relates to a cleaning device.
Prior art
A cleaning device having cleaning strips is already known from US 6 253 408 Bl. However it is only possible, by following a complicated manufacturing method, to achieve that the cleaning strips can be spread apart in such a way that they extend over a broad and wide 15 surface.
Summary of the invention
The present invention seeks to specify a cleaning device which exhibits good cleaning 20 performance with simple manufacturing. The present invention also seeks to achieve a wiping function that is as extensive as possible in order to achieve quicker cleaning.
According to the invention, textile cleaning strips are used which are reinforced in their attachment region to the cleaning device. The cleaning strips are preferably reinforced at 25 their centre, as a result of which spreading of the textile, which is comprised of the cleaning strips, is possible. At the same time, a previously known production process can be employed. A further aspect of the invention is that different cleaning strips and/or cleaning regions have different widths.
Textile cleaning strips having different widths are used. This facilitates a maximum surface coverage.
2017223758 02 Apr 2019
The widening of cleaning strips offers enhanced properties for the highly effective outer cleaning strips to rest flat on the surface to be cleaned. This increases the efficiency of the textile.
The cleaning device, namely the mop, is designed in such a way that some cleaning strips have larger widths than the remaining cleaning strips. The combination of widened cleaning strips, which are preferably located with their free ends on the outside, and cleaning strips having a smaller width, achieves an increased overall floor surface coverage of the cleaning 10 device, namely of the mop. The previously known production method can be employed, wherein only an insignificantly larger amount of material is required.
The reinforcing and widening of cleaning strips in combination allows a spreading of the mop head as a result of which the extent of the surface coverage is increased. This effect 15 would not be achieved if only wider cleaning strips or only reinforcing were provided.
An additional positive aspect is that the widenings can be produced using known work steps and no further process step is required. Thus, a cost-optimised and simple production is possible and a good cleaning performance achieved.
The attachment region could have a lamination. The reinforcement could be embodied as a lamination. In this way, a single textile material can be used in order to produce a reinforced cleaning strip.
The cleaning strips can also be designed as loops.
Different cleaning regions could complement each other.
It is advantageous to provide different cleaning regions. For example, there are cleaning regions, which may rest flat on the surface to be cleaned and thus, in a manner comparable to a flat wiper, allow for a quick and thorough cleaning result. Further cleaning regions may benefit from a specific design, for example finer ends, to achieve a particularly favourable
2017223758 02 Apr 2019 cleaning of comers and other difficult-to-access areas. These different cleaning regions are arranged in or on the cleaning device in such a manner as to be mutually supporting. Actually, three types of cleaning strips may be provided, which have a central lamination by means of a microfibre textile and additionally have a flocking in the lower region.
Preference is given to one cleaning strip comprising a plurality of cleaning regions. During the wiping process, all three cleaning strips can simultaneously apply these cleaning regions so that flocking on a first cleaning strip is complemented by flocking on a second cleaning strip and flocking on a third cleaning strip.
The cleaning device could be designed such that one or more cleaning regions are designed as a cross. A preferred mopping direction is signalised thereby. As a result, the aforementioned flat mopping action is especially enhanced.
Two different widths could be present in a ratio of 1: 1.1-2, preferably in the ratio 1: 1.2515 1.5. These ratios have proven to be particularly advantageous.
At least one cleaning region could be designed to be flatter than another. This facilitates a mopping process with an extensive wiping coverage.
At least one cleaning region could be designed to be narrower than another. This facilitates spot cleaning. Furthermore, this facilitates reaching difficult-to-access areas.
The mop head could have a non-round shape. The application of the different widths is thereby supported. In order to achieve the mop head resting flat on the surface to be cleaned, 25 this would be enhanced in that the mop head has a non-round shape.
As a result, the user is being signalised spot cleaning and accessibility of difficult-to- access areas in the longitudinal direction and a flat mopping action in the transverse direction.

Brief description of the drawing
In the drawing
Fig. 1 shows a side view of a cleaning device with cleaning strips hanging downwards,
Fig. 2 is a view of the cleaning device from below, which shows that cleaning strips and cleaning regions with different widths are provided, and,
Fig. 3 shows three types of cleaning strips by way of individual cleaning strips.
Embodiments of the invention
Figures 1 and 2 show a cleaning device 1 comprising a base body 2, which is designed as a mop head, wherein on the base body 2 cleaning strips 4, 4a, 4c are connected at their attachment regions 5,5c, wherein the cleaning strips 4, 4a, 4c each have cleaning regions 6, 6a, 6c, wherein at least one cleaning strip 4, 4c is reinforced at its attachment region 5, 5c to the base body 2, and wherein one cleaning region 6, 6c of the cleaning strip 4, 4c in comparison to the attachment region 5, 5c is less reinforced or not reinforced.
Different cleaning strips 4, 4a, 4c and/or cleaning regions 6, 6a, 6c have different widths. The attachment region 5, 5c has a lamination. Different cleaning regions 6, 6a, 6c complement each other. Two different widths are in the ratio 1: 1.1-2, preferably in the ratio 1: 1.25-1.5, with respect to one another. At least one cleaning region 6 is designed flatter than another cleaning region 6a, 6c. At least one cleaning region 6a, 6c is narrower than another cleaning region 6. The mop head has a non-round shape.
Fig. 1 shows a cleaning device 1, namely a mop, comprising a base body 2 and a handle 3, with which an operator can move the cleaning device 1 on a surface to be cleaned.
The attachment region 5, 5c extends over the centre of the cleaning strip 4, 4c and ends at the cleaning regions 6, 6c. The cleaning regions 6, namely the cleaning regions 6 facing the free ends 7, are less reinforced compared to the attachment region 5.
2017223758 02 Apr 2019
In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the reinforcement is achieved by means of a lamination. At the connection region 5, 5c, a separate textile material is laminated onto the textile base material of, for example, a cleaning strip 4, 4c. Technically, however, it would also be conceivable that the consolidation, for example, is achieved by a higher heat treatment or stronger needling of the base material to the attachment region 5, 5c.
Fig. 2 shows, in a bottom view of the cleaning device 1, that different cleaning strips 4, 4a, 4c and different cleaning regions 6, 6a, 6c have different widths. The free ends 7 of the 10 wider cleaning strips 4 project radially further outwardly than the free ends 7a of the less wide cleaning strips 4a which, in sections, are fanned out into two partial strips 4b.
Fig. 3 shows isolated cleaning strips 4, 4a, 4c and their widths. The middle, wider cleaning strip 4 has a width x of 5 cm. The left, narrower cleaning strip 4a has a width z of 3.75 cm.
The left cleaning strip 4a is fanned out in regions into two partial strips 4b, each having a width y of 1.875 cm. On the right, a further cleaning strip 4c is shown, which is narrower than the middle, wider cleaning strip 4. The cleaning region 6a is composed of two cleaning regions 6b of the partial strips 4b.
The attachment region 5,5c can also develop a cleaning effect.
