Description
Innovation Patent for "DatePlanner" Date Planner Pty Ltd, ABN 42 133 242 065 Specification description Currently there are no planning sites on the internet that allow Users' to plan a date, where the results are matched step by step to their personality/style inputs. Business directories operate by conducting a search based precisely on the business or category of business the user nominates (such as a plumber or ice skating rink). In addition, if a User wants to plan a date with multiple facets (such as an event as well as a restaurant) they must collate information from several different searches and websites. DatePlanner T M 2 (DP) is a totally unique concept, where the software that DP has developed recommends activities to the User, based upon several inputs (personality/style, budget, area, date). Subsequently, those activities then refer the User to specific businesses, locations or events (Providers), which are displayed to allow the User to construct a consolidated Date-Plan or Event-Plan. The first innovative step of the abovementioned concept is that the activities and Providers suggested by the software are personality/style matched. This means that the software is responding to what the user "feels like doing" (i.e. their personality/style). The software thus negates the need for the user to request specific activities and/or Providers (although this is still possible through the manual planning mode). The second innovative step, which works in conjunction with the first, is that each activity and the associated Providers are assigned a personality/style, based on a numbering system as contained in 'DPPersonlityandorStyle.pdf'. There is no database in existence which allows for this Personality/Style assignment (or similar), either in a generic or specific form. The third innovative step is that each activity is assigned a primary, secondary and tertiary 'event-order'. The 'event-order' determines the order in which activities are suggested to the User (under Event A, B or C). This ensures that the Date-Plan or Event-Plan has a consistent sequential structure (i.e. meet at a cafe (A), go to a restaurant (B), then see a show (C), or another example: buy flowers (A), meet at a cafe (B), go to a restaurant (C)). The fourth innovative step is to have all of the relevant dating information, businesses, locations and events on one website that allows the user to create a step-by-step Date Plan or Event-Plan (Event A, Event B, Event C, etc.), which can then be printed, emailed or sent by SMS to the user or several users. 1 Users are defined as those doing the planning for a date or event. Providers are the information providers (businesses, activities, locations and events etc.). 2 Trademark Pending
Claims (7)
1. Software which matches Users with Providers based upon Personality/Style. This is the unique functionality of the DP software. The suggested activities, and subsequent businesses, locations or Events (Providers) displayed to the User either as advertising, initial selections or results are matched against their selected Personality/Style. The results are then further refined through the other inputs such as budget, location and date.
2. A Personality/Style numbering and categorisation system to be used with Date or Event planning, which correlates to specific personal qualities of the User or Customer. This is attached in DPPersonalityandorStyle.pdf. Users and Providers can self-assign or be auto-assigned a Personality/Style.
3. The unique concept in claim 2 is enhanced by averaging the default and the specific value of the Personality/Style for each entry in the business, locations or events databases. Each Customer entry in the databases falls under its master activity, and is therefore first auto-assigned a Default Personality/Style Number (DPSN), as shown in DPCategoriesandActivities.pdf (the actual values in this document are updated over time to improve searching). Subsequently, each Customer entry in the databases can then, in addition to having a DPSN, be further customised by having a Specific Personality/Style Number (SPSN) assigned to it, as seen in DPBusinessDatabaseExample.pdf, by means of assigning percentages. The software then can average these percentages out to better reflect the "true" Personality/Style of that particular entry in the business, locations or events database.
4. A drag/drop/click to move/select interface that adds information as part of a larger plan with sequenced events (i.e. an A-B-C sequential structure). This allows the user to plan a date or social outing with distinct sequential components.
5. The structured plan of claim 4, which can be either printed, emailed or sent by SMS to a single user or multiple users.
6. A planning interface on the website which allows a personality/style or similar to be selected in order to direct searches.
7. The activities as discussed in claim 1 and claim 5 can have an event order assigned to them. This means that the initial activities shown can then be pieced together in a logical sequential fashion (A, B, C or similar format)
