ciTITLE O "A CAMPER" 0 CFIELD OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to a camper. In particular, the invention relates to a tent of a camper.
oBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Camping has become a very popular past time of millions of Australians. One way in which many people camp is to tow a camper trailer to a desired location. Camper trailers are quick to set up and access.
Further, camper trailers provide many comforts in a single, convenient unit that is "ready to go" at any time.
Camper trailers are primarily set up by rotating the top of the camper tailer to erect a canvas tent. Poles support the tent to provide a stable, weather resistant structure. A bed with mattress is typically provided within the canvas tent as well as a solid floor area above which provides space for people to do certain activities, such as change clothing.
When camper trailers were initially developed, they catered for two people sleeping in a double bed within the tent. As time has passed, additional rooms have been able to be joined to the original tent to provide additional space. The concept of adding rooms is particularly appealing to people who have young children who like having their children sleeping close to them.
Unfortunately, in order to support the additional rooms, additional poles are necessary. Further, in order to support these poles, COMS ID No: ARCS-164608 Received by IP Australia: Time 16:32 Date 2007-10-12 12/10 2007 16:38 FAX 61 7 3221 0597 FISHER ADAMS KELLY [005 -2
O
0additional ropes with associated pegs are also necessary. Ropes that O extend outwardly from the tent are a tripping hazard. Also, the set up time 0 crequired for setting up the additional rooms is time consuming.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the invention to overcome and/or alleviate one oor more of the above disadvantages and/or provide the consumer with a useful or commercial choice.
0SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In one form, although not necessarily the only or broadest form, the invention resides in a camper comprising: a tent having a solid floor area; at least one tent support pole extending upwardly adjacent an end of the solid floor area to support the tent; the at least one tent support pole is obtusely angled with respect to the solid floor area; and an additional room connected to the tent; wherein the tent support pole supports the additional room.
Preferably, the additional room is removable attached to the tent.
Preferably, the additional room is attached to the tent via a zipper.
Preferably, the tent has a door to allow access to the additional room.
COMS ID No: ARCS-164608 Received by IP Australia: Time 16:32 Date 2007-10-12 12/10 2007 16:38 FAX 61 7 3221 0597 FISHER ADAMS KELLY 0]006 O 3 Oa CBRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS 0 Embodiments of the invention will be described with reference 0 to the accompanying drawings in which: FIG. 1 shows a side view of a camper trailer according to a first embodiment of the invention; and o FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of a camper trailer according 0 to FIG 1.
0 o DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT FIGS. 1 and 2 show a camper trailer 10 used for camping. The camper trailer 10 includes a storage box 11, for storing articles, such as refrigerators and fuel tanks, and a camper box 12 from which a canvas tent 13 is erected.
The canvas tent 13 is erected by rotating a top of the camper box 12 that causes a centre pole 15 to be extended upwardly from the camper box that supports a roof of the canvas tent. The top of the camper becomes a solid floor area 20 from which a tent extends upwardly.
An inverted U-shaped support pole 21 is pivotally connected to and extends upwardly from the solid floor area 20 adjacent an end of the solid floor area 20. Floor pivot pins 22 located adjacent ends of the support pole 21 are used to pivotally connect the U-shaped support pole 21 to the solid floor area 20. The support pole 21 extends through a sleeve located within the canvas tent 13.
Two support struts 23 are pivotally connected to opposite sides of the support pole 21. Strut pivot pins 24 are used for this purpose. Two COMS ID No: ARCS-164608 Received by IP Australia: Time 16:32 Date 2007-10-12 12/10 2007 16:38 FAX 61 7 3221 0597 FISHER ADAMS KELLY Q007 4

Cl spacing the two support struts 23.
An additional room 30 is attached to a rear end of the canvas tent 23 adjacent to where the support pole 21 contacts the canvas tent 23.
0The additional room 30 is attached to the canvas tent 23 via a zipper 31.
The zipper 31 extends around the canvas tent 23 adjacent to where the osupport pole 21 supports the canvas tent 23. A weather flap 32, as is known in the art, covers the zipper 31to assist in prevent water passing through the zipper 31.
A door 33 is provided in the rear end of the canvas tent 23 to allow access to the additional room from inside the canvas tent 23. A window 34 is provided on a side of canvas tent 23. Eyelets 35 are provided external of the additional room to hold the additional room in position.
In use, the support pole 21 is held in position by placing the support struts 23 into the floor mounts 25. This keeps an end wall and roof relatively taught whilst keeping the solid floor area relatively uncluttered.
Further, removal of the support struts 23 from the floor mounts 25 and pivoting them so that they are located adjacent the support pole 21 allows canvas tent 23 and solid floor area 20 to be folded in and out of the camper box 12.
An obtuse angle is formed between the support pole 21 and the solid floor area 20 after the support struts 23 have been placed is the floor mounts 25. That is, the support pole 21 extends past a vertical edge of COMS ID No: ARCS-164608 Received by IP Australia: Time 16:32 Date 2007-10-12 12/10 2007 16:39 FAX 61 7 3221 0597 FISHER ADAMS KELLY 008

0 cthe solid floor area 20. By having the support pole 21 extending past the 0 vertical, the entire space above the floor area 20 can be utilised as the end cwall of the canvas tent is push outwardly. Hence, the effective space above the solid floor area 20 is increased.
Further, the support pole 21 is obtusely angled. It is perfect for 0 supporting the additional room 30. Once the canvas tent is set up, the 0 additional room 30 is zipped onto the canvas tent 15 via the zipper 31. Pegs o34 are then placed through the eyelets 35 and into the ground to pull the additional room 30 taut and hold the additional room 30 firmly in a desired position.
By using the support pole 21 as the support for the additional room 30, no further poles or ropes are required to support the additional room 30. Accordingly, there is no tripping hazard and the additional room can be erected in very little time with very little effort.
It should be appreciated that various other changes and modifications may be made to the embodiment described without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention.
