Abstract
Disclosed is a communication system comprising a first transceiver (1) and a second transceiver (2) which are bi-directionally coupled via a transmission channel (3). A device (14, 15, 22, 23, 24) measures the signal propagation time (tR) via the transmission channel (3), for example by means of an active radar, in order to limit the range of the communication system in such a way that the transmission of user data between the first and second transceiver (1, 2) can be influenced according to the current distance (d) from one transceiver to the other.
