Abstract

The invention concerns a brake disc cylinder comprising a piston (27) designed to move axially towards a disc and including a parking brake mechanism consisting of an input shaft (6) supported on an axial stop (18) of the cylinder countering the displacement of said shaft towards the direction opposite to the disc, said shaft being capable of being driven in rotation when the parking brake is actuated; a ball ramp mechanism comprising at least a first groove (10) borne by a first pivoting component (7) integral with the input shaft, at least a second groove (23a) opposite the first groove, borne by a second pivoting component consisting of a threaded play take-up member (23) whereof the unscrewing enable to adjust its neutral position relative to the piston and which is simultaneously capable of thrusting the piston towards the disc and at least a ball (11) enclosed between said two grooves, one at least of the grooves being bordered by an exhaust zone (18) whereon the ball rolls until both pivoting components rotate relative to each other, so that the ball spaces apart the two pivoting components from each other.
