Abstract
The method involves channelizing the gas flow to allow passages of the gas flow through an outlet flow disturbance unit that disturbs the outlet flow to inflame the sparks, where the disturbance unit is infusible and non-combustible and is in contact with the sparks. A displacement of the disturbance unit is achieved in a continuous or discontinuous manner. The disturbance unit is deformed so as to release particles stuck in the disturbance unit. An independent claim is also included for an installation including a spark extinguishing device and filtering device.
