Abstract

The plate-cylinder (1) has a duct (3) axially positioned in relation to the plate cylinder. The duct contains a clamping rail (31) for holding the front edge of the printing plate (22). The duct has a bar-shaped element in the form of a feeder shaft (4) rotating on its axis and extending parallel with the plate cylinder duct. The holder for the front edge of the printing plate extends the entire width of the format and consists o f a segment cut out (41) from the feeder shaft.
