Abstract

The ink lifting roller (2) is suspended between an ink supply roller (1) and a first driven ink unit roller (8), with at least one following set of rollers (15) and at least one ink applicator roller (12) belonging to a plate cylinder.(17). At least one first calender roller (10) is in constant frictional contact with the first ink unit roller. The ink is carried to the set of rollers and at least one ink applicator roller and is periodically separated at a separation point between the first calender roller and a subsequent second ink unit roller(11).
