Abstract

The present invention relates to an alpine ski boot, comprising a lower shell part (1) and an upper (2; 14, 15) mounted pivotably on the lower shell part about a horizontal and transverse spindle. This boot is characterised in that it comprises an element (7) for stiffening the upper which is mounted so as to pivot, at its lower end, on the rear of the lower shell part (1), about a horizontal and transverse spindle (8) located at the rear of the pivoting spindle (3) of the upper (2), and means (12, 13) for providing, when in a skiing position, a removable link between the upper part of the stiffening element (7) and the rear part of the upper (2). <IMAGE>
