Abstract

The invention relates to a backpack with a body protection device (2) which is removable through an opening (12) towards the outside. The body protection device (2) has the shape of a flat item which can cover at least the front upper body area of the backpack carrier and is attached by its one end region to the backpack (1) behind the opening (12). The flat item (2) has a neck cut-out (22) which, when the flat item (2) is pulled forwards above the backpack carrier, is located approximately above the head of the backpack carrier.
