Guide for connecting rod bearings on which several connecting rods engage.

A major difficulty in piston machines with a web-like arrangement of the cylinders and connecting rods acting on a common crank or actuated by this is the connection of the connecting rods to the crank pins. It has already been proposed to allow each connecting rod head to span only part of the journal circumference in order to avoid a fork in the rods and the resulting great length of the crank pin. It has also been proposed to have all connecting rods attack a common bearing; However, this arrangement requires an irregular distribution of the engagement pins in order to ensure that the pistons and connecting rods of all cylinders describe approximately the same paths.

According to another embodiment, the connecting rod bearing is forcibly given a rotary movement about the crank pin, which is the same as that of the latter, but in the opposite direction, so that the bearing maintains its relative rest position, for which theoretically an infinitely long connecting rod would be necessary; However, this construction requires the use of a low-profile gear for bearing management.

With the present invention i & t created a connecting rod bearing in which trotx the elimination of a jerk-rotating gear or avoidance of the infinite length of the connecting rod an equal-

The connection between the connecting rod bearing and the coupling rod can be a direct or an indirect one, depending on the other construction conditions of the machine, and this results in various embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, one of which is shown schematically in the drawing in FIG is shown on the crankshaft axis perpendicular plane and in Fig. 2 in plan view. The connecting rod bearing consists of a U-shaped socket or nabea. which sits on the crank pin b of the crankshaft c and to which the associated connecting rods d are articulated in the usual way by means of pins, f.
