 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

With the known turbine units, which are arranged as an encapsulated unit in a water channel, it is always very difficult to support the unit or its capsule housing with respect to the water guide channel or to attach it to the same without adversely affecting the flow possibility of the water. Also had to for the possibility of

 will.

According to the invention, the task of supporting and securing the unit body in the water duct is achieved particularly favorably in that the stator blades required for the water duct or, if they are rotatable, their axes of rotation are used as support members for the unit body. In this way, an unfavorable influence on the water flow is avoided in all cases, because all additional support elements for the unit body can be omitted.

It is particularly favorable to design all or some of the stator blades or their axes of rotation to be hollow and to use them as channels or shafts for accommodating supply and discharge lines, for example
 EMI1.3

An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows a partial longitudinal section through the water guide channel with the unit body arranged therein, FIG. 2 shows a section along the line A-B of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows a section along the lines
 EMI1.4

The unit body a, which completely encapsulates the machine units, is arranged within the water flowing through the channel piece b in the direction of the arrow. To hold and support the unit body a relative to the channel piece b, the stator blades c required for the water flow are used, some of which, u. between. In the present case and e, are hollow. These hollow blades are used to accommodate the lines / to the generator. Even-
 EMI1.5
that, despite their larger cross-section, they offer the least possible resistance to the flowing water compared to the non-hollow blades.

In the case of larger turbine units, the hollow cross-section of the stator blades can also be selected to be so large that, if necessary, they provide a means of getting into the interior of the unit.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Underwater power plant, in which the electric generator is arranged within a capsule housing located centrally in the water duct and supported against the duct wall, characterized in that the drop-shaped housing encapsulating the electric generator watertight is supported only by the turbine stator blades or their axes of rotation.
