Una composición de pigmento termocrómlco que comprende: (A) al menos un compuesto orgánico colorante dador de electrones, (B) al menos un compuesto aceptador de electrones, y (C) al menos un compuesto que responde a la fórmula (1), en la cual: R¹ representa H o un grupo fenilo, R² representa H o un grupo fenilo, y n = 1 - 8. También se refiere a microcápsulas de pigmento termocrómico que comprenden composiciones de acuerdo con la presente, a composiciones de tinta que comprenden dichas microcápsulas de pigmento termocrómico, y por último, a los instrumentos de escritura que comprenden dichas composiciones de tinta.
