Abstract
Un microaparato (11) implantable en el ojo (13) comprende una microválvula cuasi-biestable (21) comandado por un sensor (23) in situ de la presion intraocular. El mecanismo de la microválvula consiste en un diafragma (27) hecho de un polímero conjugado (29) que exhibe alta deformabilidad y biocompatibilidad y cuyo volumen depende del potencial eléctrico aplicado por su par de electrodos (31). El sensor y el actuador- válvula están acoplados a un conducto de drenaje (15), el primero para deformarse en funcion de la presion en el globo ocular y el segundo en una posicion de pandeo para normalmente obstruir el conducto dé drenaje. El sensor es una membrana de material polimérico conductivo con esas mismas propiedades y cuyas resistencia ohmica varía con la deformacion mecánica que le produce la presion ocular.
