Abstract

La presente provee composición comestible que comprenden una fuente de iones metálicos divalentes no solubilizados y de 0,1 a 6 % en peso de un alginato que tiene un contenido de ácido L-gulurónico de por lo menos 60 % de las unidades de ácido urónico totales en el alginato. Las composiciones del presente tienen efectos de saciedad y su uso en planes de control de peso es beneficioso. Las composiciones comestibles pueden ser composiciones alimenticias previstas para ser usadas como un producto alimenticio sustituto de una comida.
