Abstract
Un proceso para la recuperacion de soluciones acuosas de alcanolamina agotadas que comprende poner en contacto una solucion acuosa de alcanolamina agotadacon una resina de intercambio ionico fuertemente básica durante un tiempo suficiente parasorber , desde la solucion acuosa de alcanolamina,al menos una porcionde los iones acumulados y después de que se haya acumulado una alta concentracion de iones en la resina, regenerar la resina de intercambio ionico mediante:(a) purgar la resinacon agua o nitrogeno, (b) poner en contacto la resina con una solucion de cloruro de sodio durante un tiempo suficiente para remover losiones, (c) purgar la resina para remover la solucion de cloruro de sodio, (d) poner en contacto la resina con unasolucion d e hidroxido de metal alcalino,preferiblemente hidroxido de sodio, durante un tiempo suficiente para convertir la resina sustancialmente a la forma de hidroxido, y (e) purgar la resina, conlo cual la capacidad de sorcion de iones de laresina se manti ene a un valor sustancialmente constante.
