- The length différence between the reference absorbent article and the absorbent article of the présent invention is calculated.
According to présent above described in-house test method, the reduced amount of the length of the absorbent article (1) is calculated. Stretching elastomeric strand(s) (14), reduces the length of the absorbent article in some extent.
According to the présent invention the stretching amount of the elastomeric strand(s) enables, up to 50 % stretch in longitudinal direction of the absorbent article (1) to reach original length of said absorbent article (1) according to the given in-house test method.
In the présent invention, the backsheet (12) of the absorbent article (1) comprises elastomeric strand(s) (14) and/or strip(s) (16) in its longitudinal axis (X). The length (L) of the elastomeric strand(s) and/or strip(s) comprise at least 5 % of the longitudinal length of the absorbent article(1), and at most 95 % of the longitudinal length of the absorbent article( 1 ).
In the présent invention, the elastomeric strand(s) (14) and/or strip(s) (16) that attached on the backsheet (12) forms at least two channels which are at least partially oriented in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article.
The lenghth of said elastomeric strand(s) (14) and/or strip(s) (16) lying in the longitudinal axis of the absorbent article (1) is between 5 to 95 % of the longitudinal length (L) of the absorbent article (1), preferably between 20 to 70 % of the longitudinal length of the absorbent article.
In the présent invention, the preferred maximum length of the elastomeric strand(s) (14) and/or strip(s) (16) lying in the longitudinal axis is at most 70 % of the longitudinal length of the absorbent article, since the backsheet loose its crinkled shape when the length of the elastomeric strand (14) and/or strip is more than 70 % of the longitudinal length of the absorbent article.
In the présent invention, the preferred minimum length of the elastomeric strand(s) (14) and/or strip(s) (16) lying in the longitudinal axis is at least 20 % of the longitudinal length of the absorbent article, since it is not effective to prevent sagging problem below said value.
