Abstract

Disclosed is a foodstuff container comprising a structural layer coated with a coating layer, wherein the structural layer comprises a component selected from the group consisting of paper, paperboard, corrugated paper, bag stock, ream wrap, roll wrap, folding board, solid fibre, and combinations thereof, wherein the coating layer is a polymer formed from a monomer selected from the group consisting of methyl methacrylate, isobutyl acrylate, 2-ethyl acrylate, butyl methacrylate, isobutyl methacrylate, 2-ethyl methacrylate, and mixtures thereof, and wherein the coating layer prevents a foodstuff from sticking to the structural layer, and further comprising a foodstuff in contact with the coating layer.
