Abstract

Disclosed is a carton constructed of a sheet of rigid material designed and configured to be folded around food without adhesives or bonding to form a container for fast food. The sheet includes a middle section with a first edge adjacent a first region, a second edge adjacent a second region, a third edge, and a fourth edge. The first edge is opposite the second edge and the third edge is opposite the fourth edge. A transverse fold line extends from the first edge to the second edge and is located inset from the third edge. A wing section is located adjacent the third edge. The carton is constructed by first folding the sheet in a substantially frusto-conical manner by overlapping the first region and the second region, followed by folding at the transverse fold line such that the wing section is folded at least partially over either the middle section or the overlapping first region and second region, such that the fourth edge forms the circumference of an opening. The opening is opposite the fold formed at the transverse fold line.
