Abstract
Oppfinnelsen angår et skip konstruert for bruk ved høy hastighet og tung sjø med et enkelt langt og slankt skrog med en smal skipsbredde og en mer eller mindre vertikal baug, hvorved fronthalvdelen av skroget har mer eller mindre vertikale sider, minimal utbuling i baugseksjonene og mot baugen en økning i dypgang ved sin senterlinje kombinert med en mer eller mindre lignende økning av fribordet og hvorved akterenden av skroget har en flat og noe V-formet bunn med en eller flere propeller og/eller vannjet som drivinnretning. I henhold til oppfinnelsen har baugen en avrundingsradius på minst 1% av skipsbredden.
