Abstract

A self-bonding material consist of (a) a carrier film, having on at least the side towards the adhesive layer, a release surface, (b) an adhesive layer consisting of a printable, self-bonding adhesive, applied in a regular lattice pattern to the carrier film, and (c) a coating film. The bond strength between the carrier film and the adhesive is greater than that between the adhesive and the coating film, and the release value in g/mm of the release surface is smaller than that between the adhesive layer and a reception surface. The material is esp. suitable for fixing photographs in an album. The material can easily be cut to fit the photograph, without the need for sepn. lines passing through the adhesive layers, though the material may be perforated between the lattice pattern of the adhesive.
