Abstract
One component in each load for one of the two reactions involved (diazotising and coupling) is over- or under-charged by using an amount of solution or suspension represented by V1 having a concentration K1 plus-or-minus a. To the 2nd reaction a smaller amount V3 = V2 x((K1-a)/K1)x(K2-b)/K2, or a larger amount V4 >= V2 x((K1+a)/K1)x(K2+b)/K2 is added automatically the concentration being K2 plus-or-minus b. V2 is the theoretically required amount, calculated on V1 with concentrations K1, K2. The amount V3 or V4 is made to depend automatically on the amount of diazo compound solution or suspension remaining after the previous coupling reaction. The process is pref. controlled by sensors for residual diazo compound and a memory- and the necessary auxiliary timing circuits. Process control becomes very precise and simple weighing errors are eliminated, in many cases analytical product control tests can be simplified.
