Abstract

In a method for forming a tubular member (200) comprising a straight pipe part (210) and a shrinking pipe part (220) which is adjacent to the straight pipe part (210), has an axis in at least one positional relation among an eccentric positional relation, an inclined positional relation and a skew positional relation with respect to an axis of the straight pipe part (210) and has a final target shape with a part of the shrinking pipe part (220) projecting outer than a virtual extension surface of a circumference surface of the straight pipe part (210) by a spinning processing, a pressing force by a processing tool (310) on one side of the workpiece (100) is made smaller than that on the other side to make a part of the workpiece (100) project outside of the virtual extension surface to an extent equal to or more than the final target shape in a first step, and thereafter a difference between the pressing forces on the one side and the other side is reduced to form the final target shape. Thereby, a tubular member (200) having a shrinking pipe part (220) projecting outer than the virtual extension surface can be formed more easily. At least in a part of plurality of paths of the processing tool (310) in the first step, a state where the processing tool (310) does not contact with the one side of the workpiece (100) may be included. Even in such a path, it is desirable that the processing tool (310) presses the workpiece (100) at least at a starting point of the path.
