Abstract
ENERGY CONSERVATION OF FREEZING AND AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUSES CAN BE PRACTICED BY REPLACING THE CHLOROFLUOROCARBON ALTERNATIVES (HCFC AND HFC) WITH A HYDROCARBON REFRIGERANT AS A NATURAL REFRIGERANT SO AS TO ALLOW FLUOROCARBON-FREE BY THE HYDROCARBON REFRIGERANT AS THE NATURAL REFRIGERANT REDUCE USE OF CHLOROFLUOROCARBON ALTERNATIVES. A HYDROCARBON MIXED REFRIGERANT ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION CONTAINS PROPANE AND HAVING A SATURATED VAPOR PRESSURE AT 7°C OF 0.3 TO 1 MPA AND A SATURATED VAPOR PRESSURE AT 35°C OF 0.6 TO 2.2 MPA AND MAY FURTHER CONTAIN N-BUTANE, ISOBUTANE AND ETHANE. THE HYDROCARBON MIXED REFRIGERANT PREFERABLY HAS A BOILING POINT OF -20°C OR LESS.
