Abstract

TO PROVIDE AN OIL PUMP POSITIONING STRUCTURE THAT MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO REDUCE COSTS BY THE USE OF AN INEXPENSIVE GEAR-DRIVEN TYPE OF PUMP AND BY THE USE OF THE SAME PUMP MAIN PART ON DIFFERENT TYPES OF ENGINE IN COMMON, AND TO MAKE THE ENGINE SMALL AND COMPACT BY THE REDUCTION IN THE WIDTH OF THE ENGINE.CONSTITUTION: THE OIL PUMP (32) IS POSITIONED THE SAME AS THE CRANK JOURNAL BEARING (27) IN THE CRANKSHAFT DIRECTION AND A CONSTITUTION IS EMPLOYED IN WHICH THE GEAR (36) ATTACHED TO THE PUMP SHAFT (35) IS MADE TO MESH WITH THE GEAR (39) ATTACHED TO THE CRANKSHAFT (7) TO TRANSMIT THE ROTATION OF THE CRANKSHAFT (7) THROUGH THOSE GEARS (39 AND 36) TO THE PUMP SHAFT (35).ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION, IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE THE ENGINE SMALL AND COMPACT AND COMPACT BY REDUCING THE WIDTH OF THE ENGINE.IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE TO REDUCE COSTS BY THE USE OF AN INEXPENSIVE GEAR-DRIVEN TYPE OF THE PUMP BY THE USE OF THE SAME PUMP MAIN PART (33) IN COMMON ON DIFFERENT TYPES OF ENGINE OF DIFFERENT DISPLACEMENTS.(FIG 4)
