Abstract

La presente invencion se describe un procedimiento de lecho fluidizado para reducir directamente un material granular que contiene oxido de hierro, el material que contiene oxido de hierro es reducido primero en al menos una plataforma de reduccion preliminar (7) por gas de reduccion y subsecuentemente reducido a esponja de hierro en una plataforma de reduccion final (8). El gas de reduccion está constituido, en parte, por gas de reduccion suministrado recientemente y por el gas de alto horno producido durante la reduccion del material que contiene hierro, y es introducido en la plataforma de reduccion final (8) en donde reacciona, es extraído, y parte de él es introducido en al menos una etapa de reduccion preliminar (7) en donde reacciona, es extraído, es depurado y es usado finalmente como gas de alto horno, el resto es dividido, depurado, el CO2 eliminado y el gas calentado luego y usado como gas de reduccion. Para asegurar que la reaccion procede sin que el lecho fluidizado "se atasque", minimizando las cantidades de portadores de hidrocarburo usados para generar el gas de reduccion, se produce gas de reduccion nuevo a partir de síntesis, y todo el gas de reduccion que se alimenta a la plataforma de reduccion final (8) es acondicionado químicamente en una plataforma de acondicionamiento individual (19; 15), el CO2 es eliminado y el gas es subsecuentemente calentado.
