Abstract

Un cuerpo de una torre de absorcion, que incluye un conducto de entrada y un conducto de salida, está provisto integralmente sobre la porcion superior de un tanque de circulacion. La torre de absorcion es una estructura autosoportadora, sustentada por solamente el tanque de circulacion. Al menos la etapa de pulverizacion, corriente arriba extrema, en una zona de pulverizacion en el conducto de entrada, incluye tubos de pulverizacion provistos con boquillas para pulverizar un líquido de absorcion en una direccion paralela al flujo del gas, y al menos una etapa de pulverizacion corriente abajo extrema, incluye boquillas para pulverizar el líquido de absorcion en direccion contraria al flujo de gas. La torre de absorcion es de una estructura integral, en la cual la porcion superior del tanque de circulacion forma una parte del conducto de la torre, por lo cual el arreglo de la torre de absorcion es auto-soportable y asimismo, es de una estructura sencilla, lo cual lleva a una alta resistencia y a a la eliminacion de la necesidad de la provision de accesorios para sustentar la porcion de conducto de la torre.
