Abstract
Para permitir la transmisión de video en el futuro de una gran variedad de videos de HDR, y representarlos en pantallas de rango dinámico variable o capacidad de brillo máximo, describimos un codificar (301) para codificar un conjunto de imágenes de un video de alto rango dinámico de entrada (Im_5000), que tienen colores de píxeles con luminancias menores que una primera luminancia máxima (L_max_M), en un video de alto rango dinámico codificado (Im_2000), que es una imagen de alto rango dinámico, es decir, con una luminancia máxima para visualizar en una pantalla con un brillo máximo correspondiente de al menos 900 nit, caracterizado porque la definición de codificación permite codificar luminancias de colores de píxeles hasta una segunda luminancia máxima (L_max_C) que es igual o menor que un 50 % de la primera luminancia máxima, el codificador comprende: una unidad de recorrección (320) dispuesta para permitir que un creador de contenido especifique por lo menos una función de correlación de tonos (F_2Tu, 601) para correlacionar colores del video de alto rango dinámico codificado (Im_2000) de segunda menor luminancia máxima (L_max_C) con una reconstrucción de video de HDR (Im_5000*) del video de alto rango dinámico (Im_5000); y un formateador, dispuesto para escribir en una señal de video (S_im) el video de alto rango dinámico codificado (Im_2000) y como metadatos la por lo menos una función de correlación de tonos (F_2Tu, 601), y un codificador relacionado y decodificar modalidades y métodos, y componentes técnicos y tecnologías de transmisión.
