Abstract

La invención presenta un codificador de información para codificar una señal de información (IS), donde el codificador de información (1) comprende: un analizador (2) para analizar la señal de información (IS) para obtener coeficientes de predicción lineal de un polinomio predictivo A(z); un conversor (3) para convertir los coeficientes de predicción lineal del polinomio predictivo A(z) a valores de frecuencia f1...fn de una representación de frecuencia espectral del polinomio predictivo A(z), donde el conversor (3) está configurado para determinar los valores de frecuencia f1...fn mediante el análisis de un par de polinomios P(z) y Q(z) que se definen de la siguiente manera (ver Formulas) donde m es un orden del polinomio predictivo A(z) y I es mayor o igual a cero, donde el conversor (3) está configurado para obtener los valores de frecuencia (f1...fn) mediante el establecimiento de un espectro estrictamente real (RES) derivado de P(z) y un espectro estrictamente imaginario (lES) de Q(z) y mediante la identificación de los ceros del espectro estrictamente real (RES) derivado de P(z) y el espectro estrictamente imaginario (lES) derivado de Q(z); un cuantificador (4) para obtener valores de frecuencia cuantificados (fq1...fqn) de los valores de frecuencia (f1...fn) y un productor de flujos de bits (5) para producir un flujo de bits que comprende los valores de frecuencia cuantificados (fq1...fqn).
