Abstract
La presente descripción provee un método para decodificar una señal de video, el método comprendiendo los pasos de: decodificar, a partir de un flujo de bits, un elemento de sintaxis que indica la última región diferente de cero, en donde la última región diferente de cero representa una región que incluye el último coeficiente de transformación diferente de cero en un orden de escaneo; dividir un bloque actual en múltiples subregiones; y con base en el elemento de sintaxis, determinar la última región diferente de cero del bloque actual entre las subregiones divididas.
