Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a métodos para producir (+)-manool que comprende: poner en contacto geranilgeranil difosfato con una copalil difosfato sintasa (CPP) para formar un (9S, 10S)-copalil difosfato y poner en contacto el CPP con una enzima de esclareol sintasa para formar (+)-manool y derivados del mismo. También se proporcionan ácidos nucleicos que codifican a CPP sintasas y esclareol sintasas para uso en los métodos. Además se proporcionan vectores de expresión y organismos hospederos no humanos y células que comprenden ácidos nucleicos que codifican una CPP sintasa y una esclareol sintasa como se describe en la presente.
