Abstract
La invención se refiere a un proceso para producir metacrilato de carbonato de glicerilo, en donde se hace reaccionar metacrilato de glicidilo con dióxido de carbono en presencia de un catalizador y un solvente, en donde el catalizador es yoduro de potasio, el solvente es acetonitrilo, uno o más monoalcoholes, o cualquier mezcla deseada de acetonitrilo y uno o más monoalcoholes, y la reacción de metacrilato de glicidilo con dióxido de carbono se lleva a cabo a una presión de 0.5 a 5 bar.
